Musical Databases in the Humdrum Format


The following list provides an incomplete inventory of musical works known to be encoded in the Humdrum format. Roughly 40,000 works are thought to be encoded. (An additional 18,000 incipits and themes are encoded in the Humdrum format, but are not listed below.) Due to copyright restrictions, not all of the following encoded materials are available to scholars outside of the Ohio State University Cognitive and Systematic Musicology Laboratory. Publically accessible scores can be found on kernScores and on GitHub.
